Two dreams

Category: Uncategorized — Andrea @ 11:32 am

Last night I had two interesting dreams. The first dream was very short. In the dream I was pondering how much time Jesus spent with God and thinking how little time we spend with Him in comparison. Then I heard a voice plainly say that we needed to live in the same way because “Jesus did.” That’s the end of the dream.

In the second dream I walked into a large church. The church was dimly lit with stained glass windows and dark moldings around the windows and doors. It was like a Goodwill store inside the church. People were selecting clothing and then purchasing them. On the left side of the room was a large movie screen, showing some kind of presentation. All of a sudden, people watching the movie screen began to get down on their knees—praying and worshiping. Others in the room acted as if this was inappropriate and quickly ushered people out so they could close the building. As I walked outside the sky was full of white clouds but they began to change into a rose color, before my eyes. It was like we were on a hill top, overlooking valleys. My daughter was so mesmerized by the sky that she walked towards it. I kept calling to her because there was a sharp drop off that hilltop but she ignored me. She totters over the edge. However, as I peered over the edge, she fearlessly climbed towards me as if she was still on level ground. It was like gravity didn’t exist in that moment.

The dream continues with my daughters and I standing in a parking lot, watching people continue to leave this church. One woman drives her car into another parked car. I remind her that if she is indeed a Christian, then she will let the owner know what has happened. But she just drives away.

As I walk into the church again, I notice that the door is much smaller. I feel like it is the door to a child’s playhouse. Ironically someone opens the door and she begins to explain that the “Cambridge” church specifically (our community), couldn’t have people reacting to God that way, with so many different denominations present.

Hmmmm.  Many observations I could make about the second dream are obvious.  Interesting though that the woman specifically said, “Cambridge.”
